Using Quizlet to Practice Latin Vocabulary

This year, I would like to utilize Quizlet sets to help the scholars learn their vocabulary in a fun way. Quizlet is an online educational platform that takes the idea of the flashcard and does lots of amazing and fun things with it. Not only does it emulate a basic vocab flashcard style of study, it also has a number of other different modes, such as dynamically adaptive Learn mode, and two different game modes - Match and Gravity. Moreover, I record audio for each Latin word to help your child and you with pronunciation.

Helping Your Scholar Access Quizlet

Every time I give the scholars a new vocabulary list (three times a quarter), I will post links on this blog. You can simply follow the links I share here to those new sets. However, you can also look me up on Quizlet, and this will show you all the study sets I have made. You can find me at https://quizlet.com/Dr_K_Lee (my username is Dr_K_Lee).

You can even create a log-in for your scholar on Quizlet that will allow them to save study sets, join classes (more on this below), follow other users, etc. Parents, you can find information about Quizlet and about creating a log-in for your child here. There is a safe way to do this for children under 13.

Quizlet not only has a web interface (for computers), but it also has apps for both iOS (iPhones/iPads) and Android. For other devices, you might try using the web interface, as it seems to work well even on mobile devices. Again, look up my username, Dr_K_Lee, to find my sets and classes.
