Quarter 1, Week 7

 3rd grade

I am giving the 3rd graders a new vocabulary practice log this week. This one has a very short turnaround - less than two weeks! It is due on 9/28 (for 3B and 3D) or 9/29 (for 3A and 3C). There are four slots, but Days 3 and 4 will be counted as extra credit. Do your best to get all four, though!

4th-6th grades

This week we are just reading and learning grammar. 4th grade is learning about the Genitive case, 5th grade about the Accusative case, and 6th grade about verb parsing and the Perfect tense.

Be studying for tests next week (9/28 and 9/29). The current vocabulary practice logs will be due on those days.

Quarter 1, Week 6

3rd Grade

This week we continue reading from chapter 1 of Lingua Latina per se Illustrata. We also will make our second set of flashcards while I tell the scholars part two of the ancient Greek creation story "Titanomachia" - the War of the Titans.

Our first vocabulary practice logs are due this Wednesday (3B and 3D) and Thursday (3A and 3C). If your scholar has lost his or her practice log, you can either:

1. Download a new one here, or
2. Simply send me a note telling me how many times your scholars has studied their Latin vocabulary in the last two weeks.

The list to study at home is the LL 1.1 list.

4th Grade

This week we are reviewing chapter 2 of Lingua Latina (which we originally read last year). Replacements for the current practice log can be found here, and replacement 4.1.2 lists can be found here. This vocabulary practice log is due on 9/28/22 (or 9/29, whichever day I see your scholar in class).

5th Grade

This week we begin chapter 2 of Cambridge Latin Course, which introduces us to the Accusative case.

5A is taking the 5.1.1 test on Tuesday, and I am passing back last week's tests to the other three sections. Replacements for the current practice log can be found here, and replacement 5.1.2 lists can be found here. This vocabulary practice log is due on 9/28/22 (or 9/29, whichever day I see your scholar in class).

6th Grade

This week we begin chapter 7 of Cambridge Latin Course, which introduces us to Perfect Tense stems other than the -v and -u types.
